Tribute to John "Jack" H.
Woolsey, Jr., DVM
North American Australian
Kelpie Pioneer
Jack Woolsey imported a large
number of dogs that greatly influenced the foundation of the Working
Kelpie in North America. The bloodlines he imported from Tony
Parsons, Karrawarra Stud, were key in the development of Kelpies bred for
cattle work in North America. Jack was also a supporter of NAAKR,
Inc., supplying much anecdotal and pedigree information to the Registry
when it was starting. Jack will be remembered for his positive
outlook, kind words, and encouragements to all.
